Come Visit Miss Potters Place! We’d love to have you join us!
Miss Potter’s Place purposes to inspire, encourage and educate others about edible gardening.
You may be a plant lover looking for new ideas and/or searching for fellow enthusiasts, or you may be the opposite, you may be a beginner, transplanted or frustrated gardener. Where ever you are, Miss Potter would be honored to participate with you on your edible gardening journey!
Miss Potter provides many classes and workshops about edible gardening and/or backyard farming. They range from Basic classes, to Topical classes, to Hands-On-Learning Workshops.
Times and locations can vary.
For a current listing check my monthly calendar at: Miss Potters Calender
Here are the two classes that are offered consistently every month (except July & August):
EDIBLE LANDSCAPING – An Edible Plant SHOW & TELL
1st Wed of the month 7:00 – 8:30 pm
Location: MW Horticulture, 6250 Thomas Road, South Fort Myers
Don’t think that you have to ruin the beauty of your yard to add a veggie patch or a monster fruit tree, instead learn how easy it is to incorporate edible flowers, shrubs, hedges and small trees into your existing landscape. Almost every edible can be grown successfully in a container as well! This class is a SHOW & TELL of the many possibilities that exist here in SW Florida.
(Free class, but seating is limited, RSVP is necessary – click here now.
BACKYARD VEGGIE GROWING 101 – the Basics for a Successful SWFL Veggie Garden
3rd Wed of the month 7 – 8:30 pm
Location: WaKeHatchee Rec Center 16760 Bass Road, Fort Myers (next to Lexington Middle School)
Calling all beginning, transplanted or frustrated gardeners — Do you have a desire to grow honest, non-toxic, nutritious food in your own backyard, but don’t think you have the know-how or even the space? We will discuss in detail our special zone, soil and season information — Knowing how to work in a sub-tropical climate makes ALL the difference in the world on how successful your garden can be (with much less effort and space than you think)!
Please RSVP to email@example.com so we can make sure we have enough handouts: participants go home with some plants or seeds, and growing charts.
Miss Potter would love to speak to your group – Garden Club, Civic Group, School, Community Garden HOA, etc. Edible Gardening is a topic that is relevant to everyone and to all ages.

VISITS & TOURS
During any open garden hours, we encourage you to come and VISIT Miss Potter’s Place.
